Oil & Fuel

Oil & Fuel Socks and Booms can be used to encircle spills made up of solvents, oil and fuels and some common fluids to prevent them from spreading further. They will also repel water-based fluids. For oil and fuel handling facilities such as oil refineries, offshore drilling companies, fuel storage facilities, and environmental cleanup agencies, these pieces of equipment serve to control spills, protect water bodies and mitigate environmental damage caused by accidental releases. With the ability to soak up to 90L of liquid, SpillShop’s absorbent socks pair nicely with a pack of oil spill booms to guard workplace safety and the environment. Across, the oil spill sock range, SpillShop offers a variety of lengths and absorption capacities. Each is 8cm in diameter and a choice between three lengths: 1m, 1.2m and 3m. In terms of absorption capacity, this means either 75L or 90L of liquid. Individual needs will dictate which length will work better for each environment that they are used.

Booms

SpillShop has two types of oil and fuel booms, both measuring 3m in length. One is 12cm in diameter to make an absorption capacity of 170L, while the other is 20cm in diameter and can absorb up to 280L of oil or fuel. Each boom comes in a pack of four, so you will be plenty equipped to handle whatever spill goes awry in the workspace.

Packaging

SpillShop’s oil spill socks and booms come packaged in transparent plastic bags to keep them clean and uncontaminated until needed.
