Capabilities

Donned in bright yellow packaging and marked “chemical” to stand out when you need it to, chemical spill kits from SpillShop are the most versatile chemical-absorbent kits on offer. Depending on the kit, they can also handle hazardous liquids, solvents, oil & fuels, common fluids and water-based liquids. Please note that chemical spill kits are not suitable for dealing with spillages on water. For this, you would need to choose from our oil & fuel spill kit section.

All of our chemical spill kits come supplied with essential items, including spillage pads and socks, disposal bags and ties and a contents and instruction sheet. The volume of essential items increases as the size of the kit increases and other items such as absorbent rolls and absorbent cushions are included in our larger kits. Our chemical absorbent cushions have a thirst for large spills, whilst the rolls can be torn to size depending on the spread of the spill.

Some of our chemical spill kits come supplied with their own drain protection in the form of drain seals, a cover that can be placed over open drains to prevent spillages from entering watercourses or drainage systems. Mid-range kits and higher come with caution tape to cordon off a spillage site, whilst the largest kits can come with a plastic non-spark shovel to assist with substantial spills.

Packaging

SpillShop provides a comprehensive range of chemical spill kits available in a wide range of packaging. There are three main options to choose from - portable by hand, wheeled or standing. Portable spill kit options range from 15L to 60L in size and mainly come in transparent clip-close carry-handled bags, hard carry cases, shoulder bags or bins. Aside from the bins, these forms of packaging can easily be wall-mounted at spill 'hotspots' for quick deployment.

Our wheeled spill kits are available in capacities from 65L to 1100L, ideal for a central location and can be easily wheeled to the site of a spillage. Lastly, static spill kits are available in spillage capacities between 125L and 600L. These are best situated near spill hotspots, though some may be moved to spillage by forklift.
