Oil & Fuel Marine Spaghetti Boom – 20cm x 3M, Absorbs 280L

The OBS4/SP marine booms is specifically manufactured for dealing with spillages of oil or diesel on water and is usually deployed as the first line of defence when any liquid lighter than water has been spilt in a flowing water environment. The OBS4/SP boom comes in 3M lengths with a large diameter of 20cm and is designed to better deal with larger more viscous petroleum based spills and is capable of operating on faster moving water. The OBS4/SP oil booms have a length of rope running inside and along the length of them, not only to give extra strength but to prevent the booms from becoming over-stretched. Metal rings attached to the ends of the booms allow them to be joined together to create the desired overall length. Whilst the OBS4 booms themselves have a large absorbent capacity they are usually used in conjunction with other absorbent materials such as oil spill pads or mechanical water skimmers and vacuums

The ‘Carbon Footprint’ of the product is also important, sourcing products from within the UK or the EU is desirable over products shipped in from across the world either by sea or air into our distribution hub.

For some products, particularly those that are kits made from many components, these principles may not be possible for the whole kit, but rest assured we will source as many components according to these principles within the kit as we possible can.
